i’m officially addicted!
during the fall i had a friend of mine scan all of my pictures from when i was growing up. actually, she scanned mine, my brothers and sister, my parents and grandparents. so, i have been having a great time putting together photo books…
i cannot express how much these books mean to me! i love being able to browse through them and recall the thoughts or feelings from the moments that were captured…
and my kids love looking through them and hearing stories of what it was like for me growing up…seeing their grandfather with a mustache, seeing me as a teenager…seeing their uncles and aunt all chubby and rolly as babies…
so…in an effort for you to get your pictures off of your hard drives and into a place where they will be readily available to view, i am posting below a few pictures from the layout of my book from when i was growing up…on the layouts i left room on the sides so that i can write my own thoughts and feelings of what each picture means to me. the books are easy to make and there are many places that offer them…shutterfly, snapfish, kodak, lulu and blurb to name a few. most of them are drag and drop and you can save the project on your desktop. i always wait for the specials/coupons and then upload my books so that i can buy one get one free, or get 40% off or some other such deal.
you can see that there are lots of snapshots in there, but there are also lots of professional pictures that i am so glad my mom took the time to have taken. each picture is precious and means something…
